Spring cleaning

The winter is over. In this week spring season starts. It is amazing how a little bit of sunshine and warm weather affects my energy. Last week we had a sunny blue sky and the first colorful blooms. And with the sun, you can see the truth: your entire home need a necessary spring cleaning! Here are some home organization ideas. Brush up your home.

Here you see more examples of creative and modern uses of natural wood furniture, as a bar cart in your dining room.

Natural Wood

I love the use of plywood throughout the home. Plywood and other manufactured wood building materials are like the undergarments of architecture. The grain of plywood panels provides a natural touch of pattern. I find the simple and raw unfinished look extremely alluring. Do you include natural wood as a design element in your home?

In this home office plywood makes a warm and modern space together in combination with a string shelf and an Eames chair.

Plywood tends to show up in mostly functional spaces like this kitchen with black fronts.

Marble

In the middle of the winter, when we have grey and gloomy days, it is important to know that marble can light up your rooms and is a big trend these days. I prefer it with minimalist design. I think these material coming from nature can bring style, class and sophistication to your interiors. So you can make a statement.

Fornasetti art

At my home, we have three Fornasetti plates as wall art in the dinette. Here is more inspiration for wall art with Lina Cavalieri, as motif. For example in a white practicable kitchen together with a vintage bar cart.

Shiny reflections

I like metal objects very much. In the dark season, rooms get a radiance from them.
